Small Groups
This is the heart of Live Oak. Here you get to know our family and experience church at a new level. Just get plugged in by finding a meeting time and place that is convenient to you!
Our small groups are really jammin' and offering lots of good, good stuff. Below is a quick overview of what's packed in to the next couple of months before we move in to the holiday season (can you believe it???) All of these groups have an "open chair" policy and welcome newcomers anytime (except when the study has already progressed too far for someone new to "catch up"!). Sooooo, check these out......
"Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs. This 10-week study will be facilitated by Diane Yarbrough on Thursday evenings beginning on Thursday, August 2nd and continuing thru October 16th. The location for this study will rotate and each week of the study stands-alone so while we hope you'll come every week - don't let a bum schedule knock you out - just give us a call or an email for a location update.
"The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. This 7-week study will be facilitated by Tina Hagan-Dora on Thursday evenings at her home in Myrtle Beach Golf & Yacht Club. This study will begin on Thursday, August 21st and continue thru October 2nd.
"Breaking Free" by Beth Moore. The Sunday afternoon study concluded at the end of July and the Tuesday morning study led by Sherrian Hooks will continue thru August 26th. This study is no longer open to new participants.
"Living Free" by Beth Moore. This 7-week study will begin the week of October 12th and continue thru the week of November 23rd. This study will be offered on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday mornings.
Please also check out "Financial Peace" being facilitated by Lisa & Paul Matthews on Tuesday Nights and the Wednesday Night Study at Tupelo Bay being led by David Powers. And lest we forget, the Manly Men's Meeting every month to discuss "Wild At Heart" by John Eldredge.
Additional information about these studies can be found elsewhere on the website or in the Newsletter. The "Little Group" (really, that's the name!) continues to enjoy fun & fellowship together and will begin meeting for Bible study again in September.
