Our Beach Babies program is for children birth through 2 ½. Our volunteers provide a safe, secure and child friendly atmosphere and demonstrate God’s love to each child. We believe these children can learn simple Biblical truths, such as God made me and loves me, which will lay a foundation for spiritual growth as they mature.

Ocean Explorers is a program for children 2 ½ until they begin kindergarten. These classes are structured with age appropriate activities that teach about the Bible and how it relates to the children’s lives. We use The Beginner’s Bible along with videos, crafts, and games to teach a “Bible point” each week. We also use music, songs and instruments to worship and praise God.

waveCatch The Wave! Where children kindergarten through fifth grade go to worship. When they first arrive, they can hang out with their friends while playing all kinds of games and activities. Their worship service includes music (the kind these kids actually enjoy), story time (which includes dramas, videos and teaching) and small group time (when they discuss what they have learned and how it applies to their life with an adult and kids their own age). Fifth graders have the opportunity to assume leadership responsibilities in The Wave.

The Desyples is our youth ministry for sixth through twelth grade. The youth worship service is where your teen can have fun and grow in spiritual maturiy with music and a message that is appropriate for this age group. We encourage our youth to become involved with our regular worship services as well, and hope that this guidance will help them continue their spiritual growth after graduation.

Small Groups We like to think of our groups as reaching the Head, Heart and Hands of group members. We focus on the Head through Bible study as we gain a greater knowledge of God. We take time to consider Bible passages and what they mean to us today. We also realize that the love of God must penetrate the Heart of the person. Our faith should be evident in our relationships with others. God intends for us to be linked together through Christian love of one another. The small group also has opportunities to show others their faith through their Hands. This service and outreach to others expresses our deep love for God and God’s great love for each person.

In the last few weeks you have been hearing a lot about Small Groups. We sense God’s desire to grow this part of our church’s ministry for our members and our communities. You are being offered opportunities to share the warm and loving environment you have found at Live Oak with people that already are involved in your life. We plan to make it simple, non-threatening, and dare I say it, yes, FUN!!!!

Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to host, co-host or participate in a small group that reaches those with whom you “do life together”. Please contact Diane Yarbrough for more information.
